MR GAY WORLD™ 2020 KNYSNA, SOUTH AFRICA
Mr Gay World™ 2020 will run from Sunday, 26 April to Sunday, 3 May, with the grand finale taking place on Saturday, 2 May, 2020 at Villa Castollini in Knysna. Aside from being a roving ambassador for social and political inclusion, and human rights; the global focus of Mr Gay World™ will be directed towards unity through diversity.
Tickets will be on sale from the 10 March 2020. This competition brings together delegates from all over the globe to compete in this prestigious event, and the winner is seen as a role model for LGBTQ+ people everywhere.
KNYSNA PRIDE – TURN THE TOWN “PINK” OR “CARNIVAL”
This fun parade through the streets of Knysna is one of the highlights of the event. It will be held on the Saturday 2 May 2020 at 15:00. Join the parade by dressing up in your most outrageous pink outfit and stand a chance to win a prize for being the best dressed. You can also use this opportunity to enter a float into the parade to give your business more visibility. You can of course also support the parade from the side-lines should you feel like it, just make sure you stand out from the crowd with your pinkness!

Urban Loerie is a joint venture between Pink Loerie Mardi Gras and Arts Festival PTY) Ltd and Urban Sport Events (PTY) Ltd (USE) with the focus on hosting sport events.
The partnership will see the introduction of a Half Marathon (21km), 10km and 5km; a Biathlon as well as a Charity Golf Day. This will not just be a welcoming addition to our events but will bring much needed attention and visitors to Knysna and the region.
PINK LOERIE FOUNDATION NPO
The main purpose of Pink Loerie Foundation NPC / NPO is to assist the greater Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) community, in supporting causes and charitable events, providing education and awareness programs, and creating an ethos of care within the community and beyond.
To achieve its objectives, the organization mainly relies on income from their sponsors and donators in the public and corporate sector. The organization uses spectacle, pageantry, theatre, creativity, recreation, music, design, multi-media, and other forms of artistic expression, to create LGBTQ+ awareness/celebration, eliminate stigma and promote pride-consciousness as a philosophy for living and being well.
